Woolbury

Posted by Tabi Marsh on

As part of Thornbury in Bloom we are delighted to be hosts to Woolbury for 2 weeks. If you missed Woolbury earlier in the year then you missed out. The Knit and Knatter group have knitted a mini Thornbury to raise money for charity. Between them they have knitted over 40 buildings from the High Street and surrounding area, including Daggs Allotments and the Pump. The detail astounds everyone that sees the display. The majority of the buildings have been sold and kindly lent back for this display, with over £1300 and split between Brain Tumour Support (find out more about this fantastic local charity here) and the Armstrong Hall redevelopment project. Those buildings which are still available for sale have a 'for sale sign' in them and the group welcome interest in these. Further contact details for the group can be found in the shop.
